Starting
the
first
activity
of 2011,
RDC
Jakarta
held an
IAAF
Level
I
Lecturers
Course
which
was
held
from
27th
April to
2 May
2011.
Course
attended
by 15
participants
of:
Bhutan
(1);
Bangladesh
(1);
Indonesia
(3);
Cambodia
(1);
Malaysia
(1);
Maldives
(1);
Myanmar
(1);
Pakistan
(1);
Philippines
(1);
Singapore
(2);
Sri
Lanka
(1),
and
Thailand
(1).
The
course
began on
April
27,
2011
which
was
officially
opened
by
Mr.
Chaidir,
as
Vice
President
of the
Indonesia
Athletics
Federation,
and
the
Lecturers
of
the
course:
Mr.
Abdel
Malek
El
Hebil
(Marocco)
and
Mr.
Ria
Lumintuarso
(Indonesia).
One of
the
topics
provided
in
this
course
was
the
Kids'
Athletics
and
the
participants
did
practical
to
organize
the
Kids’
Athletics
Competition
at an
elementary
school
in
Jakarta,
Elementary
School
of
Gunung
05
Pagi
(Mexico).
To pass
as
an IAAF
Level
I
Lecturer
,
each
participant
had to
follow
the
3
kinds of
assessment,
namely:
1)
Presentation
of
theory
(15');
2)
Teaching
Practice
(15');
and 3)
Theory
Exam
(60’).
In
these
course
the
5
participants
were
passed
as
IAAF
Level
I
Lecturers
and
10
others
were
expressed
as
Kids’
Athletics
Instructors.
Furthermore,
Mr.
Malek
El
Hebil
as
Course
Director
seriously
requested
the
participants,
upon
returning
to
their
respective
countries,
to
immediately
hold
activities
of
IAAF
Level I
Course
and
Kids’
Athletics
Competition
actively.
Report
the
results
to
IAAF.
On May
2,
2011
the
Course
was
officially
closed
by
Mr
.
Chaidir
as
Vice
President
of
Athletics
Federations
of
Indonesia.
The camp
was
divided
into two
sessions.
Morning
sessions
was
theoretical
for
coaches
while
afternoon
sessions
was
coaching
practice.
Topics
being
presented
during
the camp
included
training
during
competition
period,
load and
recovery,
nutrition,
load
management
(from
technique
to
performance),
and
question
and
answer.
Simultaneously,
a
training
camp for
middle
distance
events
was also
organized
with the
presence
of
Wilson
Kipketer
who
holds
the
800meter
world
record
and is
the
Youth
Olympic
Games
Ambassador.
Kipketer
gave a
presentation
on his
training
experiences
while
being an
athlete
and
offered
solutions
on how
to
develop
young
athletes.
He also
gave
coaching
clinic
to young
Singaporean
athletes
on Aug.
13,
2010.
