Participants
had both
classroom
and
field
sessions
covering
all
jumping
events
of high
jump,
long
jump,
triple
jump and
pole vault.
In
classroom
sessions,
the
lecturers
delivered
various
theoretical
and
planning
issues
such as
microcycle
design
and
mesocycle
planning,
strength
theory,
reactive
strength,
coaching
methods
for each
event as
well as
general
coaching
and
athlete
development.
For each
jumping
event,
participants
had a
look on
various
issues
from
drill
and
exercises,
general
and
specific
conditionings,
guided
observations
to
coaching
top
performers.
Participants
also
dealt
with
injury
prevention,
testing
and
monitoring
jumps
and
competition
preparation.
Also
included
in the
course
were
weightlifting
exercises,
running
for
jumpers
and
speed
and
speed
endurance
to
ensure
athletes
reach
their
top
performance.
Another
suggestion
to
improve
performance
was
through
faults-causes-corrections
method
for each
event.
Participants
took
three
kinds of
exams of
written,
microcycle
and oral
sessions.
DC
organized
a
five-day
International
Association
of
Athletics
Federations
(IAAF)
level II
course
on
education
and
certification
course
for
track
and
field
officials
from
Dec. 7
to Dec.
11 at
the
Madya
Athletics
Stadium
in the
Bung
Karno
Sports
Complex,
Central
Jakarta.. |
